Join us this summer for a series of free, youth-led creative activities designed by the Creative Youth Assembly and delivered alongside the Creative Stirling Community Team. From arts and crafts and design workshops to science experiments and film screenings, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Open to children and young people aged 5-14, with priority given to families living in Mercat Cross, Stirling City Centre, and other SIMD priority areas, as well as those who may face financial, social, or practical barriers to participation.
Lunch is provided by The Kitchen at 44 at all sessions. Places are free but booking is essential.
Superhero Masks & Capes
Wednesday 8th of July 10:30am - 1:00pm
Age: 5-8
Create your own superhero identity by designing and decorating a mask and cape using a range of creative materials. Once your costume is complete, take part in superhero-themed games, challenges, and activities. Book here
Science Discovery Workshop
Wednesday 8th of July 12:30pm - 3:00pm
Age: 8-12
Explore the world of science through fun, hands-on experiments and challenges. Participants will investigate different scientific concepts, test ideas, and discover how science can be found in everyday life. Book here
Trading Card Design Workshop
Wednesday 22nd July 10:30am – 1:00pm
Age: 9-14
Learn how trading cards are designed and create your own unique card using a mix of digital and traditional art techniques. Finished designs will be professionally printed and sent to participants after the workshop. Book here
Paper Stained Glass Workshop
Wednesday 22nd July 12:30pm – 3:00pm
Age: 8-12
Create colourful stained-glass-inspired artwork using paper, patterns, and light-catching materials. Participants will explore colour, composition, and design while producing vibrant artwork to take home. Book here
Fashion Design Workshop
Wednesday 5th August 10:30am – 1:00pm
Age: 10-14
Explore the world of fashion design by creating your own outfit concepts on paper. Participants will experiment with colour, pattern, and style while developing fashion illustrations and creative design ideas. No sewing or clothing construction is involved. Book here
Lino Printing Workshop
Wednesday 5th August 12:30pm – 3:00pm
Age: 10-14
Discover the art of lino printing and create your own unique printed designs. Participants will learn how images are transferred and printed while experimenting with patterns, colours, and layouts to produce artwork to take home. Book here
Under the Sea: Movie & Tote Bag Workshop
Friday 7th August 12:00pm – 3:30pm
Age: 8-14
Enjoy lunch and a shark-themed film screening before designing and decorating your own ocean-inspired tote bag. A relaxed and creative session combining film, art, and fun. Book here
