At Creative Stirling, we offer various opportunities for individuals age 13-35 to gain creative, employability and life skills.

Curious about what opportunities we have this year/want to get involved? Join us for a fun, interactive information evening where you can learn about our new projects, meet the Creative Stirling community team, and sign up for upcoming opportunities. There’ll be activities, food, and plenty of chances to ask questions and get involved.

This event is aimed at people aged 13-35 who have experienced adversity, hate crime, or barriers to accessing opportunities. You don’t need any previous experience, just curiosity and an interest in getting involved.

2026 projects & opportunities

defining spaces

AGES 13-25

Defining Spaces is a year-long creative arts programme running January-December 2026 for young people aged 13-25 in Stirling.

Through free creative taster sessions, short courses, events, and weekly volunteering, participants will work alongside local artists to explore identity, challenge hate, and create inclusive spaces where they feel they belong.

Open to young people from marginalised backgrounds, those who have experienced hate crime, or anyone who faces barriers to accessing opportunities. Defining Spaces offers a supportive, youth-led environment to build confidence, develop creative skills, and connect with others through art. The programme will culminate in a co-curated public exhibition celebrating identity, kindness, and belonging.

shifting horizons

AGES 16 - 35

Shifting Horizons is a year-long community project running January-December 2026 for adults aged 16+ in Stirling. Funded by the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, the project supports people to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, and build confidence through creativity, connection, and practical skill-building.

Participants will take part in weekly volunteering sessions to co-create a collaborative community project, alongside creative, media, cooking, and life-skills classes. Activities are designed to be supportive, inclusive, and flexible, allowing people to progress at their own pace while developing skills for everyday life, volunteering, education, or employment.

Shifting Horizons is open to individuals from marginalised backgrounds, those who have experienced hate crime, or anyone who faces barriers to accessing opportunities. Participation is recognised as volunteering, with support available for personal goals, CVs, and progression.
