crambing in an update
Hello everyone reading, Jamie Cramb here now that we are just now we are in March 2026 and Creative Stirling are now going to filled all sorts of exciting events, some new and returning, and an update to the community media matters course that’s in the planning stages which changes the course in good way, so this blog is a update on creative Stirling’s courses and events and all you need to know so let’s begin.
First of all, an update to the Community Media Matters Course later down the road this year as not only you can radio show or podcast, now you can do a different type of podcast which is video podcasting now you can do podcasting while on camera, but don’t worry if you don’t like being filmed as this will be an option that you can have you can have it the normal way or you can be on camera and have almost a coffee table discussion for example, not only that there’s planning to have better audio skills part and will have more time in doing the project you’re doing, but I want to clarify it’s still in planning stages from studio manger Ryan Rocks, so just now so plans may change but this is what planned just now with Community Media Matters course in the future hopefully.
This next part is a huge announcement, so remember back at near the end of 2024 when Creative Stirling and NFTS Scotland teamed up for the making a scene event, man, it feels like forever since then. Anyways, now the sequel is coming next mouth, “Making a Scene: Real Jobs in Film & TV (Take 2)” is happening, and this time will be a hands-on with a choice of different workshops to give you more experience on what’s it like doing this in the film and tv industry. I remember enjoying the last Making a Scene event and I am really happy that it is coming back so I will talk about the lineup of it soon on my show Cramb in creative, so stay tuned when I am on, on Stirling community radio.
Hello everyone reading, Jamie Cramb here! Now that we’re in March 2026, Creative Stirling is starting to fill the calendar with all sorts of exciting events, both new and returning. There’s also an update to the Community Media Matters course, which is currently in the planning stages and looks set to improve the course in a great way. So, this blog is an update on Creative Stirling’s courses and events, and everything you need to know… so let’s begin.
First of all, an update on the Community Media Matters course later down the road this year. Not only will you be able to create a radio show or podcast, but there are plans to introduce a new aspect: video podcasting. This means you could record your podcast on camera, creating more of a relaxed, “coffee table discussion” style. Don’t worry if you’re not comfortable being filmed, though, as there will be various roles required in the making of a video podcast, or you can learn the skills but stick to the traditional audio format for sharing your work.
There are also plans to improve the audio skills section of the course, and more time for working on your project. However, it’s important to note that these updates are still in the planning stages from studio manager Ryan Rocks, so things may change. For now, though, this is what’s being considered for the future of the Community Media Matters course.
Now for a big announcement. You might remember back near the end of 2024 when Creative Stirling and NFTS Scotland teamed up for the Making a Scene event (man, it feels like forever since then). Well, the sequel is coming next month: Making a Scene: Real Jobs in Film & TV (Take 2). This time, the event will be more hands-on, with a range of workshops to choose from, giving you real experience of what it’s like to work in the film and TV industry. I really enjoyed the last Making a Scene event, so I’m excited to see it return. I’ll be talking more about the full lineup soon on my show, Cramb in Creative, so stay tuned for that on Stirling Community Radio.
Now, near the end of this blog, I want to share one of my goals for this year: trying out editing. From what I’ve heard from content creators on YouTube, and from what I’ve seen myself, it seems quite complicated. I haven’t tried it yet so at some point I’m going to give it a go and learn more. We’ll see if I can become a master editor! Editing is important in every form of media, as I’ve mentioned before. It may be challenging, but it’s essential to get it right, no matter what you’re creating. So sometime this year, we’re going to try it out.
This blog has been an update on what’s been happening so far in 2026, including possible changes, a big event, and new challenges for the year. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned to Cramb in Creative on Stirling Community Radio, where you’ll be able to hear me talk about Making a Scene: Take 2 and get more information when it comes out. Goodbye for now!
Jamie.
